CBNU, Excelling in Community-Industry-Academia Cooperation Centered on Chungbuk Province
- Achieved the highest grade (A) in the comprehensive evaluation for RIS and LINC3.0 project -
ChungBuk National University (President Changsup Koh) is leading regional innovation centered on North Chungcheong Province. It received the highest grade (A) as a result of the comprehensive evaluation of the Regional Innovation Project (RIS) based on local government-university cooperation and the third stage of the Leading University for Industry-University Cooperation Project (LINC 3.0).
First, the Chungbuk Biohealth Industry Innovation Center has established itself as the center of innovation in the Chungbuk region by being the “Best-rated Platform” for five consecutive years. In particular, it has encouraged local talents to stay in the region through the Chungbuk PRIDE Shared University Program, provided education linked to the three strategic industries of bio, semiconductor, and battery, and made a substantial contribution to the local economy.
The LINC 3.0 Project Group also made a splendid achievement of receiving the top (A) grade. The LINC 3.0 Project Group has established a community-industry-academia-research cooperation system centered on North Chungcheong Province and has established itself as a leading university in global industry-academia-research cooperation through various programs such as demand-tailored education and research and establishment of a startup ecosystem.
“Based on the excellent performance of the two project groups, universities, local governments, and industries will work together to foster excellent talents and encourage more young people to stay in the region to lead regional innovation,” said President Changsup Koh. “This is an important example of CBNU pursuing innovation in close cooperation with the local community and will be further expanded through the RISE project.”
