With the educational goal to ‘develop medical experts that dedicate themselves to realize healthy lives,’ the College of Medicine has installed the Department of Premedical in 1985, the Department of Medicine in 1987, and the Department of Nursing Science in 2012. The college currently participates in the 4th stage of the BK21 Project, Medical-Bio Convergence Tailored Healthcare Talent Development Project, Convergence Doctor-Science Development Project, Severe Lung Disease Foundation Medical Science Research Center Project, College of Nursing Field Training Support Project, and more, in order to take proactive responses against the call of the age. Recently, the college opened the 3rd Medical Hall in Osong National Bio Industry Complex, spurring it to develop global doctor-scientists and medical experts. The college offers international exchange student program with the College of Medicine at Gifu University in Japan and the College of Nursing at Rutgers University in the USA, the International Medical Student Association Exchange Student Program, and Nepal International Medical Volunteer Program, providing students with a foundation to become international medical experts. In addition, the college strives to develop talents that may fulfill social responsibilities for local communities and lead future society through its education in humanities, advanced medicine, and public medicine.
