College of Veterinary Medicine
The College of Veterinary Medicine has been established to produce global experts with innovative minds and creative and upright veterinarians that promote enhanced human health, animal welfare, and healthy relationship between humans, animals, and nature. So far, the college has attracted large-scale projects such as the 4th stage of BK21 Project, establishment of the Veterinary and Quarantine Graduate School, Local Government-University Cooperative Regional Innovation Project, Foundation Research Center Project, new establishment of Cheongju Veterinary Hospital (KRW 18.9 billion) and securing of Experiment Animal Research Support Center Fund (KRW 12 billion), etc., thus becoming the best veterinarian college in the mid-region of Korea. Furthermore, we have received ‘Complete Certification,’ the highest grade in the 2nd term Veterinary Education Certificate by the Accreditation Board for Veterinary Education in Korea, thus providing systematic and accredited education. Also, the college provides Chungbuk University-Jeju University Joint Horse Clinical Practice Program and Veterinary Clinic Externship Program for field-oriented clinical practice opportunities. The college strives to develop veterinarians who can contribute to animal and human health and welfare by providing preparation classes for the national veterinarian exam for administrative and financial supports.
