College of Social Sciences
The College of Social Sciences has been established to develop capable and expert talents that contemporary Korean society demands, offering studies in scientific theories of humans and society and their realistic application. The college educates students and conducts research activities in specialized and detailed ways to seek scientific explanation of the current position of Korean society, which is undergoing rapid social changes and solutions to social issues, as well as understanding of individual behaviors in social and organizational environments. Currently, the college carries out national projects such as the 4th stage BK21 Project, etc. By delivering expert knowledge and training to students, the college strives to enhance their flexibility and scientific thinking in order to understand social phenomena and resolve social issues. In particular, the college focuses on on-site and practical education that are needed to resolve diverse realistic issues that the nation and local communities’ demand. To better equip its students for the global and information-driven society, the college also has facilities such as a multimedia hall, an advanced lecture hall, experiment and practice rooms, reference rooms, etc.
