College of Humanities
The College of Humanities has been established to nurture experts in the studies of humanities and develop upright citizens with democratic ideology. With the beginning of the 4th Industrial Revolution, time demands the value of humanities as well as convergent science technology. To this end, the College of Humanities aims to fulfill its educational goal of developing workers with humanitarian imagination and flexibility while nurturing creative talents that can meet the demand for convergence industries through enhanced practical capabilities in the fields of humanities. By participating in the initiative for College of Humanities' Research and Education (CORE), National University Development Support Project, and Eurasia Support Project, the college strives to protect and nurture foundation studies in humanities as well as fulfill its social responsibilities and contribution to local communities as a flagship national university. In addition, the college offers diverse extracurricular programs, such as Major Studies Capability Enhancement Program, Humanities Studies Competence Enhancement Programs for the Development of Global Talents that reflect the characteristics of studies of humanities, etc. There is also support for international studies through the “Glocal Humanities Frontier” and a separate scholarship support for the Development of Global Regional Experts. Furthermore, the college provides programs tailored to the needs of students, such as special lectures of renowned Korean scholars and alumni, humanities academy, etc., in order to give them opportunities for career exploration and strengthen their employment capabilities.
