College of Human Ecology
The College of Human Ecology aims to train creative talents who can contribute to the enhancement of individual and social quality of life from the ecological perspective. The college has five departments; Department of Food and Nutrition, Department of Child Welfare, Department of Clothing and Textiles, Department of Housing and Interior Design, and Department of Consumer Science. It is the only college in Korea that operates independent departments of key majors in human ecology. The department also offers convergent majors such as smart design,senior welfare, crisis management, venture business, etc., and there is also a Human Ecology Research Center and Subsidiary Childcare Center as affiliated institutions. By participating in various cooperative programs in Academy-Industry Cooperation Leading University Development Project (LINC 3.0), the college has been enhancing students’ employment and startup capabilities, while contributing to local communities by the consigned operation of Cheongju-si Children’s Lunch Management Support Center and the operation of Local Network Life Solution Center, and more. The college offers Dream Scholarship program, a support scheme for academically outstanding undergraduate and graduate students, while putting effort in nurturing creative convergence talents that will lead the age if digitization in the age of the massive digitization.
